Maligaon Pandu in Guwahati, Assam is basically Railway area. The town under greater Guwahati is the main centre of NorthEast Frontier Railway's Head Quarter surrounded by railway colonies and some civil areas. This small area Maligaon-Pandu has changed a lot now a days -now it is not confined in Railway colonies, with a number of commercials market places, Central & State govt. office, Banks, New residential areas, Flats, Hotels & Restaurants,Railway Junction station, Bus Terminal etc etc, has been shaped as a town.

It was a nice effort on your part. I had been a resident of Pandu-Maligaon area some 30 years back. It was a pleasant surprise for me seeing the photographs.
May I request you to let me know the contact details of hotels in Pandu-Maligaon area at present. I intend to visit during the Durga Puja 2009 & rekindle the memories.
